About the role#
S&B is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern to support our engineering projects. You will perform routine assignments under close supervision, applying standard design techniques and procedures. This role involves working within a multi-discipline team and requires daily face-to-face interaction with colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Prepare basic design sketches and perform calculations to support design activities.
- Conduct field trips to plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Gather data to assist in the preparation of equipment specifications, inquiries, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Help prepare equipment lists, load summaries, design guides, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering design equipment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
