About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will perform routine assignments under close supervision. You will apply standard design techniques and procedures while working within a multi-discipline team. This role requires daily face-to-face interaction and collaboration with your team members to complete projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare basic design sketches and perform calculations to support design activities.
- Conduct field trips to existing plants to collect operating data and equipment information.
- Gather data for equipment specifications, inquiry documents, and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment lists, load summaries, design guides, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
