About the role#
S&B is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern to perform routine design tasks under close supervision. This role is designed to build your technical knowledge and practical skills within the oil and gas industry. You will work on specific project segments while gaining exposure to standard design procedures.
What you'll do#
- Prepare simple design and construction drawings based on sketches or verbal instructions.
- Perform calculations and create sketches for specific project segments.
- Support fundamental design tasks like updating computer lists and proofreading reports.
- Use vendor prints, technical manuals, and catalogs to gather project information.
- Assist with field assignments as needed, which may include visits to construction sites or operating plants.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering design equipment.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
