About the role#
As an intern in the Real Property Tax group, you will work alongside subject matter experts to identify tax savings for multi-state clients. You will gain experience in state and local tax controversies while working in a team-based environment. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Identify tax savings opportunities for multi-state companies.
- Assist with tax controversies, including preparing clients for auditor discussions.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Draft technical memoranda regarding tax issues.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Review documentation and perform research.
- Process raw data to complete detailed calculations and prepare protests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Anticipated graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours, depending on the specific practice.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
