About the role#
We are hiring an intern for our Real Property Tax practice for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside subject matter experts to identify tax savings opportunities for large corporate clients. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Boston with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide client service to multi-state companies to identify tax savings.
- Assist with state and local tax controversies, including preparing clients for auditor discussions.
- Represent clients at hearings and appeal meetings.
- Prepare formal protests.
- Research and draft technical memoranda regarding tax questions.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and tax authorities.
- Review documentation and perform detailed calculations using raw data.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics.
- Graduation date within one year of the internship.
- Minimum overall and major GPA of 2.8.
- Completion of 6 to 12 accounting hours depending on the practice.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage ambiguity, and work on multiple assignments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license.
