About the role#
This is a full-time Engineering Co-Op position running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work on-site in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, to gain practical experience in manufacturing operations. The role helps you determine if a career as an Operations Engineer is the right fit for you by assigning real projects that impact company results.
What you'll do#
- Take on projects in processing, milling, and paint making operations.
- Implement equipment and process changes to improve efficiency, throughput, and safety.
- Participate in company training on Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Initiatives.
- Complete Toyota Production System training, covering 5S, 8 Wastes, SMED, and Root Cause Problem Solving.
- Work on Lean and Six Sigma activities or safety projects within the packaging production area.
- Incorporate new machines into the production process to maximize efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- A genuine interest in becoming an Operations Engineer.
Location & details#
- Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Housing: Provided at UW Parkside Pike River Suites.
