    About the role#

    This is a full-time Engineering Co-Op position running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work on-site in Williamsport, Maryland, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This role is paid at $25.00 per hour, and housing is provided at Valley Loft Apartments in Hagerstown.

    What you'll do#

    • Take on real projects to learn the responsibilities of an Operations Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
    • Incorporate new machinery to help maximize process efficiencies.
    • Participate in training on Rust-Oleum Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including the Toyota Production System, 5S, 8 Wastes, Quick Changeover (SMED), and Root Cause Problem Solving.
    • Execute projects within processing, milling, and paint making operations.
    • Perform equipment and process changes to improve throughput, safety, and efficiency.
    • Lead Lean and Six Sigma activities or safety projects for the packaging production area.
