About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting through an eight-week or longer full-time commitment. Interns receive an orientation covering administrative and professional matters and are assigned a Career Advocate to help establish personalized goals. You will gain experience using the firm's accounting and tax networks and will be treated as a full-time team member throughout the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Manage compliance tasks related to Federal, State, Local, and Wealth-Management taxation.
- Analyze internal controls to build a deeper understanding of firm processes.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment with Junior or Senior status.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
