About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting through an eight-week or longer full-time program. Interns receive an orientation covering administrative and professional matters and are assigned a Career Advocate to help establish personalized goals. You will gain experience using the firm's accounting and tax networks while working as a full team member.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Support compliance tasks related to Federal, State, and Local taxation, as well as Wealth Management.
- Analyze and develop an understanding of internal controls.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
- Gather and analyze industry research from public documents.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior academic standing.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
