About the role#
This internship offers exposure to the financial planning and investment management services provided to high and ultra-high net worth families. You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive mentorship from a Career Coach and Career Advocate to help you set and reach your professional goals. Interns are treated as full-time team members and are expected to work a 40-hour week in the office.
What you'll do#
- Learn the financial planning process used by RubinBrown Advisors.
- Understand the basics of investment management within complex portfolios.
- Prepare and interpret reports, including quarterly reviews and trading recommendations.
- Gain insight into operations and client management.
- Use firm resources and work with strategic partners to serve clients.
- Grow your professional network.
- Attend events with team members and peers.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A flexible, motivated, and proactive mindset.
- Comfort adapting to new software systems, including Office, Orion, planning software, and custodian websites.
