About the role#
The Tax Quality Risk Management (TQRM) team operates within the National Office of Risk Management. The team establishes and monitors tax policies, supports tax teams with professional standards, and manages engagement letters and other risk matters. As an intern, you will support these initiatives across Canada.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the Annual Tax Inspections process as mandated by RSM International.
- Execute and report on ad hoc Risk and Compliance projects.
- Develop and update the annual control plan for tax policy compliance.
- Create TQRM training materials.
- Attend and participate in TQRM team meetings.
What you'll need#
- A background in Accounting or Project Management.
- A Bachelor’s degree expected shortly, with a preference for Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel skills.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent business writing and communication skills.
- Integrity and a collaborative team-player mindset.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and execute tasks with limited information.
- Previous experience in professional services or Risk Management is a plus.
