About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join a team focused on tax specialty areas. You will gain experience across several disciplines, including corporate taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, and accounting for income taxes. This is a full-time, paid position based in Schaumburg, Illinois, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with tax planning and research projects.
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Research tax regulations and accounting pronouncements to support client work.
- Collaborate with team members across various tax specialties, including private client services and not for profit organizations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree program with at least 90 credit hours completed.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Reliable transportation, as travel to client locations is required.
