About the role#
This position combines the Elevate early career program with a Summer 2028 Technology Risk and Controls Consulting internship. Elevate is a leadership development experience that includes a three-day conference and year-long professional development activities. Following this, you will join the firm as a Risk Consulting intern to work with businesses across various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services. You will be paired with a Performance Advisor to guide your professional growth throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the three-day Elevate leadership conference and subsequent development experiences.
- Assist clients with the design and optimization of internal controls.
- Identify internal control deficiencies using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Create documentation to support client engagements.
- Engage with client leadership regarding strategies for emerging technology risks.
- Perform IT controls testing, technical IT reviews, and internal audits over ERP and security systems.
- Conduct SOX, regulatory compliance, and System and Controls (SOC) reporting.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited accounting degree program with 90 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- Anticipated full-time associate start date of Fall 2029 or Winter 2030.
- Minimum 3.4 GPA preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in campus or community organizations.
- Strong communication, multi-tasking, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- High degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Pursuit of CPA, CISA, or CIA certification is preferred.
- Ability to arrange reliable transportation to client locations.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
