About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work with a variety of clients across different industries. You will join team engagements and handle multiple parts of an assignment. This role is a full-time summer 2027 opportunity based in Davenport, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Learn the RSM audit approach and use our internal tools.
- Develop an understanding of client businesses, their industry, and their specific accounting systems.
- Assess risks and evaluate internal control structures.
- Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls.
- Identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
- Draft financial statements using prescribed formats.
- Communicate engagement findings to your team and clients.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting.
- You have completed at least 90 credit hours.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- You have strong computer skills, including experience with MS Office.
- You communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- You can multitask and work effectively as part of a team.
- You are client-focused.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Davenport, Iowa.
- This is an on-site role. Travel to assigned client locations is required, so you must have access to reliable transportation.
- This is a paid internship. RSM does not provide sponsorship for this role.
