About the role#
RPM xConstruction is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our team in McKinney, Texas. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term. You will gain hands-on experience by working within our enterprise IT department, covering areas like infrastructure, security, and support.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and maintain internal software applications.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and HR departments to translate their needs into working software.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, stand-ups, and reviews.
- Engage in technical discussions and code reviews.
- Learn and apply new tools and frameworks as projects require.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid programming fundamentals and experience building applications in any language.
- Strong communication skills to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage your own time across multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with GitHub and experience with web or mobile development, databases, and SQL are helpful.
- Experience with large language models and context engineering for AI-driven applications is a plus.
