Systems Engineer Co-op - Fall 2026

About the role#

Systems Engineer Co-ops work directly with an experienced project team in the facilities services industry. You will support the full project lifecycle, from initial design and hardware configuration to onsite startup and system testing.

What you'll do#

• Create instrument lists based on P&ID drawings.
• Compile submittal and procurement documentation for controls and instrument hardware.
• Provide technical support for panel fabrication technicians and inspect completed control enclosures.
• Participate in customer design reviews and assist with system demonstrations.
• Configure user interfaces, HMI screens, and control algorithms (DDC, PLC, or DCS).
• Install project software and configurations onto site systems.
• Perform point-to-point loop checks, instrumentation calibration, and functional system testing.
• Troubleshoot installation discrepancies and program field modifications.
• Assist in developing commissioning test plans and operational training documentation.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
• Full-time student status with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in developing technical solutions.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
