About the role#
This internship provides a foundation for a career in insurance. You will learn the business from the ground up with the goal of transitioning into a full-time Associate Producer role after graduation. This path can lead to becoming a Producer and eventually a shareholder in the agency.
What you'll do#
- Research and identify prospective clients through networking, market analysis, and outreach.
- Collaborate with senior sales representatives on client proposals, presentations, and account management.
- Analyze industry trends and competitor activity to spot new opportunities.
- Participate in training sessions to build product knowledge, sales techniques, and relationship management skills.
- Manage CRM data, prepare policy documents, and handle client follow-ups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, risk management, marketing, finance, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to your work.
- A genuine interest in a sales career within the insurance industry.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, 8-week summer program running from June to July 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Jackson, Mississippi.
- You should be prepared to travel for assignments, which may include overnight stays.
