About the role#
As an IT Help Desk Intern at Rockford, you will support team member onboarding and offboarding processes. This role reports to the IT Operations Manager and provides hands on experience within the construction industry. You will work on real tasks, receive training, and participate in company networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and deploy laptops, iPads, and mobile devices.
- Provision user accounts and access across various SaaS applications.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory records for issued and returned equipment.
- Document existing workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Assist the Help Desk team by responding to and resolving end-user support tickets.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of computer troubleshooting and repair is preferred.
- A strong desire to learn and professional drive.

- Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Physical requirements: Ability to sit for long periods and perform tasks such as lifting up to 35 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
