About the role#
As a Thermal Engineering Intern, you will join a team that manages the entire lifecycle of spacecraft production, from conception through flight. You will act as a subject matter expert on thermal engineering and provide support for launch services. The role requires close coordination with other disciplines, such as GNC and mechanical engineering, and involves cross-functional training to deliver efficient thermal solutions.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with your mentor and other employees to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with supervisors to discuss progress and learning.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with the team through social and professional events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or mathematics.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- A minimum of 3 months of applied engineering experience, including internships, laboratory work, or personal projects.
- Preferred: GPA of 3.5 or above, 6+ months of applied engineering experience, and experience with thermal engineering, CAD/CAM, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), or machining (specifically lathe machines).

- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: Full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Compensation: $28.00 USD per hour.
