About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will support the Space Systems Division in the development of the Assembly, Integration, and Test sequence. You will serve as a primary communication node for design development and issue resolution regarding our satellites. This role is based in Long Beach, California, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Work with a group of professionals to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
- Attend frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors to discuss your progress.
- Participate in tech talks and connect with other interns and employees.
- Collaborate with your team to solve technical issues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
- Preference is given to candidates with a 3.5 GPA or higher and 6+ months of applied experience.
- Experience with spacecraft hardware, test hardware, or developing and running test scripts is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in January, February, or March 2027.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour.
