About the role#
The Student Rad Tech performs diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Technologist. This role focuses on producing high-quality exams while maintaining effective relationships with patients, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. You will prioritize patient care and quality standards throughout your daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist radiologists with radiologic imaging procedures.
- Select appropriate protocols to obtain optimal images and provide clinical documentation within your scope of practice.
- Prepare equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies to support quality patient care.
- Adhere to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards and report any variances.
- Coordinate patient care, perform effective assessments, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure services continue without interruption.
- Apply safety behaviors and ALARA principles to reduce harm and ensure high-quality outcomes.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active enrollment in or recent graduation from an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technologist program.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute upon hire.
- Ability to multi-task and work in an organized manner.
