About the role#
As a Retail Intern at The Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, you will assist with the daily management and operations of our on-site retail store. This role offers hands-on experience in merchandising, inventory management, and customer service within a sports environment. You will work directly under the Retail Coordinator and collaborate with other departments to support tournament operations.
What you'll do#
- Process sales transactions using our POS system.
- Provide customer service to guests on and off the sales floor.
- Keep track of stock levels and help with reordering merchandise.
- Create displays and signage to support our merchandising goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Help the Retail Coordinator with employee scheduling, hiring, and training.
- Develop and implement in-store promotions and events.
- Share feedback on market trends and merchandise assortment.
- Assist the Food and Beverage, Facilities, and Operations teams as needed.
- Uphold the values and brand standards of Ripken Baseball.
What you'll need#
- Current college student seeking credit or a recent graduate looking for experience.
- Background in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Strong initiative, high energy, and an outgoing personality.
- Ability to solve problems and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team.
- Commitment to working long hours, including weekends, based on business needs.
