About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in sports administration and event operations at our Myrtle Beach facility. You will support the planning, preparation, and execution of baseball tournaments and programming while learning our specific operational standards. This role requires on-site work from February 9, 2027, to May 2, 2027. We are happy to coordinate with your university to help you secure college credit for this program.
What you'll do#
- Support the execution of tournaments, AllRipken Games, and other facility programming.
- Announce college and high school baseball and softball games by reading player names and advertisements.
- Manage game-day technology, including running the scoreboard, playing music, and relaying messages to the Tournament Director.
- Assist with weekly facility maintenance and upkeep.
- Act as a positive role model for participants and create an engaging atmosphere.
- Provide customer service to coaches and parents, communicating with them before and after tournaments.
- Collaborate with staff across different departments to learn about our business operations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while working to meet team objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student, ideally in Business Administration.
- An interest in sports administration and the sports industry.
- Prior experience in customer service and working with children.
- An outgoing personality with high energy and strong communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical job responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems quickly.
- Capacity to manage conflict and remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent time-management skills and a drive to learn.

- Term: Winter and Spring 2027 (February 9, 2027 to May 2, 2027).
