About the role#
This paid internship provides an inside look at the daily operations of a culinary department within a resort and country club environment. You will gain experience across multiple areas, including line kitchen operations, garde manger, baking, pastry, and stewarding. Your supervisor will act as a mentor to help you develop skills in culinary management and kitchen execution.
What you'll do#
- Operate dish machines and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Coordinate and execute large-scale banquet events and off-site catering.
- Prepare and display a variety of warm and cold desserts.
- Assist with cooking and station prep for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
- Maintain food storage standards, including inventory management and product rotation.
- Follow sanitation protocols and manage invoice processes.
What you'll need#
- Understanding of culinary operations and menu preparation.
- Knowledge of food sanitation standards.
- Ability to execute banquet events and manage inventory.
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, or Agriculture.
