About the role#
As a Workplace Events Intern, you will join the Travel and Workplace Events team to support the planning and execution of internal events and travel programs. This 10-week program provides an opportunity to work on logistics and operational projects that keep the company connected. You will work directly with experienced leads to deliver programs that support global business strategies.
What you'll do#
- Analyze existing travel and event processes to identify and develop technical or non-technical improvements.
- Use design-thinking methods to prototype and model event flows.
- Manage end-to-end logistics for summer events, including vendor sourcing and site selection.
- Collaborate on food and beverage management for internal gatherings.
- Assist in the management of the corporate travel platform.
- Integrate sustainable tourism and ethical travel standards into existing policies.
- Create communication materials such as newsletters, guides, and FAQs to support new tools and protocols.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism and Travel Management, Event and Meeting Planning, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to use technology and data to build workplace solutions.
- Aptitude for analyzing operational processes.
- Creativity in designing clear communication artifacts.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with event management software or corporate travel booking tools is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based at the company headquarters in McLean, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship requiring 5 days per week in the office.
- The internship term is rolling.
