About the role#
As a Field Co-op Intern, you will work alongside experienced Field Engineers to learn the day-to-day operations of our renewable energy projects. This role involves shadowing site operations and taking on specific tasks that contribute to the success of larger projects. You must be at least 18 years old and a US citizen. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term of approximately 8 months.
What you'll do#
- Conduct safety walks to reinforce safe behaviors and correct unsafe actions.
- Verify that field installations match engineered IFC drawings.
- Assist the team in resolving technical issues that arise in the field.
- Maintain project documentation and update tracking tools for procurement, RFIs, and material logs.
- Attend project meetings, record minutes, and distribute them to the Project Management Team.
- Communicate professionally to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Provide feedback to support continuous improvement at both the project and corporate levels.
- Perform quality field inspections and operate company vehicles safely.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel 76-100% of the time, including potential relocation to various project sites.
- Comfort adopting and navigating new software systems.
- Prior construction experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Golden Shores, Arizona, or Palmer, Texas.
- Candidates must be able to work at any project location as required.
