About the role#
The Christ the King Internship prepares men and women for vocational service to Jesus and his church. This program helps you explore potential ministry career paths, including roles as pastors, church staff, or missionaries. We personalize each internship based on your long-term calling, your unique gifts, and the needs of our church. This is a full-time, paid position based in North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Work with the Associate Pastor to establish year-long goals and responsibilities.
- Develop weekly and monthly ministry plans under the supervision of church staff.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and other relevant volunteer meetings.
- Check in daily with the Associate Pastor or assigned staff for brief organizational updates.
- Prepare for future vocational ministry, including potential church planting.
What you'll need#
- Ability to commit 30-40 hours per week.
- Practical ministry experience.
- Capacity to work under the supervision of the Associate Pastor and other staff.
- Flexibility to integrate the internship with seminary classes if applicable.
- Academic background in fields such as Philosophy, Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Sociology, Political Science, History, or International Relations.
