About the role#
This co-op position supports the Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development team. You will work on the automation infrastructure that keeps laboratories running. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Tarrytown, New York.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and maintenance of liquid-handling robotics in PMPD labs.
- Build and test 3-D printed lab tooling and fixtures.
- Contribute to automation projects for upstream, downstream, and analytics teams.
- Write and test basic programming scripts for automation workflows.
- Provide hands-on lab support alongside automation development.
- Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists across multiple teams.
- Document automation processes and improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Must be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position.
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, or work is preferred.
