About the role#
Regeneron is seeking a Co-op for the Imaging Sciences team. This group supports assay development and biological discovery through microscopy, automation, and image analysis. You will work on-site in Tarrytown, New York, to support imaging-based discovery projects.
What you'll do#
- Operate widefield, confocal, and high-content imaging systems.
- Optimize sample preparation workflows and acquire microscopy data.
- Implement cell segmentation strategies to generate morphology and intensity-based metrics.
- Apply AI and machine learning tools to analyze images and interpret data.
- Troubleshoot challenges in image acquisition, assay optimization, and data analysis.
- Use automated laboratory platforms and imaging instrumentation.
- Document experimental procedures and results.
- Collaborate with scientists across various research teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Biology or Chemistry.
- Status as a student returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position.
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in campus activities, clubs, sports, or community work is preferred.
