About the role#
REDW Advisors & CPAs is hiring a Tax Intern for our Albuquerque office. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. We offer a rolling term to accommodate your academic schedule.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries.
- Create work papers and special schedules for tax examinations.
- Collaborate with experienced tax staff to build your accounting skills.
- Support the team on special projects.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks to ensure they are completed thoroughly.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, or be currently pursuing one.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- You must be within one year of eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and the ability to follow directions.
- Knowledge of basic taxation principles.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to learn new software programs quickly.
- An aptitude for research and the ability to use firm resources.
