About the role#
As a Client Advisor Intern, you will act as an RBC ambassador within our branches. This role focuses on putting clients first, addressing their individual needs, and supporting both new client acquisition and existing relationship growth. You will gain experience in financial services while preparing for future roles as an Account Manager or Banking Advisor.
What you'll do#
- Engage with clients to deliver high-quality service while completing transactions.
- Identify opportunities to provide advice, digital solutions, and introductions to RBC partners.
- Use technology to educate clients and demonstrate digital capabilities.
- Resolve and prevent banking problems by taking personal ownership of issues.
- Contribute to team goals by listening for opportunities to offer advice or fulfill client solutions.
- Manage risk by following compliance routines and processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with team members to ensure a unified approach.
What you'll need#
- A goal-oriented mindset and a clear passion for serving clients.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Digital literacy across various devices including smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
- Flexibility to work varying hours.
- A willingness to learn financial concepts and obtain the Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
- Self-motivation and a drive to succeed.
- Mutual Funds accreditation is considered an asset.
- A proven track record in building rapport within the financial, retail, or service industries is preferred.
