About the role#
RBC Capital Markets is offering a 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. This rotational program provides hands-on experience across Global Equities, Fixed Income, and Currencies & Commodities. You will work alongside market professionals, receive practical training, and gain exposure to various product groups within the firm.
What you'll do#
- Analyze markets and monitor trading services to help clients maximize performance.
- Develop and evaluate trade ideas in equity and fixed income products.
- Aggregate sector and market news flow.
- Update corporate and analyst marketing data.
- Prepare client feedback reports and brainstorm potential solutions.
- Engineer tools and streamline processes to improve team efficiency.
- Analyze data to summarize changes in market positions.
What you'll need#
- You must be enrolled in a four-year US college or university program and entering your final year upon completion of the internship.
- Strong academic record with top grades.
- Basic market knowledge and a demonstrated interest in capital markets.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems in high-pressure environments.
- Initiative and the ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Technical knowledge of programming or coding languages is preferred.
- Relevant majors include Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Political Science, and Data Science.
