About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works directly with the Store Manager to learn the retail business and develop management skills. You will complete sections of the Buckle Management Manual, provide weekly progress reports, and take ownership of specific product categories. This role involves managing sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking performance results.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and answer questions about merchandise.
- Help guests try on or fit items and suggest additional products.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals.
- Provide feedback to the store leadership team regarding merchandise handling.
- Perform operational tasks including register procedures, cleaning, and organizing the sales floor.
- Lead and motivate the team by tracking performance metrics for specific departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
