About the role#
The MTE organization is seeking an intern to contribute to the performance, safety, and quality of our engines. You will join a team currently transforming production lines to integrate Industry 5.0 technologies, including machine connectivity, automation, and numerical simulations. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects aimed at maintaining our manufacturing competitiveness.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects involving new technologies such as real-time monitoring, digital twins, and NC programming.
- Optimize special processes including welding, heat treatments, peening, brazing, and machining.
- Collaborate with technical experts, process planners, operators, and production inspectors.
- Support production teams during investigations and problem-solving tasks.
- Perform metallographic analyses and mechanical testing.
- Write technical reports and present your findings during technical reviews.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university for the duration of the internship.
- Studies in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, materials, or metallurgy.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Excellent communication skills in French, both spoken and written.
- Working knowledge of English to read and understand technical plans, drawings, and specialized instructions.
Location & details#
- Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position requiring presence at our facility from Monday to Friday.
