About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in East Hartford, Connecticut. You will work on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines, or both. This position requires U.S. citizenship. You will be expected to work primarily on-site.
What you'll do#
- Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models to forecast risk factors for engine validation planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and analyze datasets.
- Apply statistical models to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Design and implement data visualization dashboards and reports.
- Develop and publish new knowledge assets within EKS.
- Communicate results and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- You must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- You must have a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the session.
- Experience gained through coursework, research, projects, or previous jobs is accepted.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and SQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with aircraft engine systems and validation processes is a plus.

- Salary Range: 37,000 USD to 82,000 USD.
