About the role#
As an Intern Systems Engineer, you will join the Strategic Defense Solutions team. You will support the development of tactical communication solutions for air and ground military platforms. You will work alongside mentors to gain hands-on experience with engineering processes and contribute to projects vital to national defense.
What you'll do#
- Perform as a member of a cross-functional agile team.
- Coordinate with mentors to learn and apply established engineering processes.
- Create, decompose, and trace requirements for communications systems.
- Use model-based systems engineering applications to build logical and physical design diagrams.
- Carry out integration and testing for communication solutions.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a degree in a STEM field, including Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering disciplines.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- An active and existing security clearance is required after day one.
- Preferred: Experience with systems engineering, requirements development, or Model Based Systems Engineering tools like Magic Draw Cameo or Enterprise Architect using SysML.
- Preferred: Experience working in an Agile environment and strong analytical or problem-solving skills.
