About the role#
This Electrical Engineer Co-Op position is a full-time opportunity based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are looking for students to join us for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. This role is strictly on-site, and we offer immigration sponsorship if needed.
What you'll do#
- Support products across the entire lifecycle, from initial design and development to factory and service support.
- Work on circuit board designs that involve complex microprocessor and FPGA architectures.
- Handle schematic capture, part selection, simulation, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Assist with obsolescence resolution.
- Design for cost, manufacturability, and testability.
- Ensure all designs comply with DO-160 and DO-254 standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- You must remain enrolled through the end of your internship or co-op session.
- Hands-on experience in a lab environment using engineering test equipment.
- Experience with schematic capture for digital and analog mixed-signal circuit designs.
- Knowledge of computer hardware architecture, components, and design characteristics.
