About the role#
This internship focuses on process engineering for development engines. You will work on-site in Middletown, Connecticut, during the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Write and approve Assembly Process Instructions to satisfy validation and certification requirements for military and commercial development engines.
- Work directly on the assembly floor to implement instructions and troubleshoot issues that prevent engine builds.
- Develop and implement new processes to ensure production readiness.
- Review Bills of Materials to find necessary changes to engineering definitions or work instructions.
- Focus on improving your technical proficiency throughout the internship.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM major.
- You must be a rising junior or senior with at least 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
- You must be actively enrolled through the end of the internship session.
- We prefer candidates with experience reviewing and approving assembly work instructions or engineering product definitions.
- Proficiency in Teamcenter, NX, Solumina, and SAP is preferred.
- Prior experience with RTX through an internship, co-op, or other work is a plus.
