About the role#
Raycap is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team in North Charleston. This role provides practical experience in HR operations, including recruitment tracking, onboarding, and employee engagement. You will work directly with our HR team to support daily functions and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with onboarding and training programs for new hires in manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases.
- Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Support compliance efforts regarding COBRA, HIPAA, EEO, ERISA, and AAP.
- Prepare HR reports and management documentation.
- Create employee badges and set up time clock systems.
- Plan and coordinate internal employee engagement events.
- Answer employee questions about HR policies and processes.
- Provide customer service and general support to our staff.
- Help with special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in an HR or administrative role is a plus.
