About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program provides hands-on experience within the Randa Apparel & Accessories design division. You will work alongside our design and merchandising teams to learn the fundamentals of retail and wholesale operations. Interns will also complete a group project, mentored by company staff, and present a solution or recommendation to organizational leaders during the final week.
What you'll do#
- Assist the design team with seasonal concepts and brand visions.
- Collaborate with merchants to build assortments and respond to fashion trends.
- Create and manage tech packs using our PLM software.
- Provide technical details to overseas vendors to manage sample development.
- Produce sketches and contribute to seasonal presentations of proposed designs.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Majors in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or Fashion Marketing/Business are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site, Monday through Friday, for the full 10-week duration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to learn.
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
