About the role#
Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Co-op to join our Delivery team. You will report to the Manager of Software Engineering and help ensure our services are available to customers. This is a paid, full-time co-op position open to students currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution.
What you'll do#
- Perform quality assurance and development work within the team.
- Deliver quality software.
- Work effectively on a self-organizing team with minimal supervision.
- Solve problems in a proactive and creative way.
- Manage tight deadlines and multitask across different projects.
What you'll need#
- Ability to program in Kotlin, C#, JAVA, or a comparable language.
- Familiarity with relational databases and knowledge of SQL or NOSQL.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and project management processes.
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance, including white box and black box testing.
- Experience developing and executing test cases.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or Mathematics program.
