About the role#
Arlo Technologies is seeking a Firmware Developer Co-op for an 8-month work term. This role focuses on the development of embedded software and tools. You will work primarily within a Linux environment, with occasional opportunities to work on Windows using Visual Studio or contribute to app development for iOS and Android.
What you'll do#
- Maintain existing features and implement new ones for Arlo products.
- Perform design, coding, and unit testing tasks.
- Conduct debugging and system level testing to ensure product reliability.
- Collaborate within a team environment while maintaining the ability to work independently.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in your 3rd or 4th year of study.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of the C programming language.
- Practical experience with Linux or Visual Studio.
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of real-time OS concepts.

- Compensation: Paid position (CAD $3,700 - $4,000 per month).
