About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based on-site in Overland Park, Kansas. You will join the Enterprise Data and Analytics team to develop a Tableau usage and adoption solution. Your work will help the organization understand how analytics content is consumed, identify trends in dashboard usage, and find opportunities to improve or retire reporting assets. You will collaborate with Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, and various stakeholders throughout the project.
What you'll do#
- Analyze Tableau usage and adoption data.
- Define and document key adoption and engagement metrics.
- Develop data models and KPI calculations.
- Design and build Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
- Identify trends in user engagement and dashboard utilization.
- Document insights and recommendations for improving self-service analytics adoption.
- Present findings and recommendations to analytics leadership and stakeholders.
- Create supporting documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Current full-time enrollment in a QTS partner institution or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- US Citizenship.
- Experience with Tableau and data warehousing concepts.
- Coursework or projects related to data visualization.
- Experience with data analysis tools like Power BI or programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, or facilities engineering.
- Involvement in community activities such as clubs, athletics, volunteering, or part-time work.
