About the role#
As a Scientific Research and Experimental Design co-op, you will join a team focused on helping Canadian companies access tax credits and incentives to fund their innovation. You will assist corporations, individuals, and partnerships that conduct eligible work in claiming these incentives. Your role involves identifying research activities, preparing claims, and providing insights that help clients make informed business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the completion of SR&ED claims and other incentive program submissions.
- Complete assignments on time and within budget.
- Provide practical solutions to optimize clients' returns from government incentives.
- Attend meetings and support clients during SR&ED reviews.
- Contribute to business development by identifying and researching new opportunities.
- Support the development of your own and the team's technical acumen.
- Assist in managing and delivering large projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of second year courses in accounting or a STEM field (Mathematics, Biology, Physics, or Computer Science).
- Strong client-service orientation focused on achieving high-quality results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills to apply SR&ED rules to client opportunities.
- Ability to support claim preparation and review engagements.
Location & details#
- This is an 8-month co-op position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- The term begins in Winter 2027.
- This role is on-site and full-time.
- Compensation is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, with eligibility for performance pay programs.
- This position does not offer work visa sponsorship.
