About the role#
This is a 4-month co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Risk Modelling Services team to provide actuarial modeling and consulting services to pension plan sponsors, government agencies, and other retirement benefit providers. This role offers exposure to pension plan valuation, funding, financial reporting, and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Support consulting and audit services for defined benefit plan sponsors.
- Assist in the review and preparation of pension and post-employment benefit accounting valuations under various accounting standards.
- Analyze and review valuation methodologies, assumptions, and data.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on various actuarial projects.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in actuarial science or a related field.
- Successfully completed at least one SOA exam or equivalent recognized credit.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Experience with ProVal or other actuarial programs is an asset.
- Bilingual skills in French and English are an asset.
