About the role#
This co-op position in the Property Valuation Practice provides exposure to the real estate market. You will support a range of services, including valuations for taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and advisory projects. This role involves working with an integrated deals team to provide real estate advice across core and alternative asset classes.
What you'll do#
- Analyze real estate market research across multiple asset classes and markets in Canada.
- Prepare initial drafts of reports, valuation analyses, memos, and pitches.
- Review valuation methodologies and assumptions to support financial statements for clients such as pension funds, REITs, and private equity firms.
- Interact with clients, advisors, and various stakeholder groups.
- Support corporate finance, restructuring, and value creation practices that involve real estate scope.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program related to Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and PowerPoint for presentations and deliverables.
- A broad real estate background, ideally with a focus on valuation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines.
