About the role#
As a Valuation Financial Analytics and Derivatives Intern, you will work within the Advisory practice to support deal valuation projects. You will participate in due diligence and provide strategic advice to help clients make informed business decisions. This internship focuses on learning valuation methodologies through hands-on tasks and observation of experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support valuation teams during asset and business valuations for mergers and acquisitions.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling to assess the value of businesses and financial instruments.
- Research market data and industry trends to inform valuation reports.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for client engagements.
- Analyze balance sheets and financial statements in collaboration with your team.
- Use Alteryx for data analysis and to automate valuation processes.
- Contribute to the development of strategic advice for clients.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, typically in your 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.
- Preferred fields of study include Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, and Operations Management.
- A cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with asset valuation, financial modeling, and derivative valuation.
- Experience using Alteryx for data tasks.
- Familiarity with leveraging AI to create efficiencies.
