About the role#
As a Deals Corporate Finance Intern, you will join a team focused on delivering deal solutions to clients. You will support transactions including sales, mergers, acquisitions, and financing. This role involves working on business development efforts and assisting in the end-to-end deal process. You will work in a hybrid environment and may be required to work extended hours when necessary.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on companies and industries.
- Prepare and present marketing pitches for existing and potential clients.
- Create internal and external marketing materials, including teasers and management presentations.
- Obtain data from clients and conduct financial analysis.
- Build financial models to support proposals and transaction documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary business or commerce degree with a finance specialization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, plus experience with Capital IQ.
- Strong financial and accounting skills, including cash flow analysis, financial modelling, and valuation.
- A commitment to valuing differences and working with diverse perspectives.
