About the role#
This is an 8-month co-op position for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Risk Services practice as part of the Data Enablement team. The role focuses on using data to drive insights and helping clients make informed business decisions through reliable data processes and structures. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced professionals to build future-ready capabilities in data, technology, and business acumen.
What you'll do#
- Build a strong understanding of commonly used client information systems and ERPs.
- Develop automated solutions to address problems encountered by engagement teams.
- Engage with clients in specialized assurance tasks, including testing key client reports and ERP system conversions.
- Create Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) pipelines and develop solutions for industry-specific assurance.
- Help clients manage their data and optimize processes to acquire comprehensive datasets.
- Use advanced data analysis techniques to ensure information reliability for business decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in post-secondary education, working toward Canadian CPA prerequisite courses.
- Motivation to learn programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Interest in IT practices, standards, and control frameworks.
- Ability to analyze the impact of data and IT risks on organizational objectives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong analytical, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
