About the role#
As a Life Actuarial Associate on the Risk Modelling Services team, you will contribute to risk modeling and insurance consulting services. You will work with insurance companies, reinsurance firms, and government agencies to support valuation, pricing, financial reporting, and risk management. This role provides exposure to both core actuarial functions and broader risk modeling areas, including climate risk management and predictive analytics.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for IFRS 17 financial statement audits as an actuarial specialist, including the assessment of valuation methodology, experience studies, and data validation.
- Work with experienced actuaries and the Core Assurance team to ensure actuarial liabilities are fairly presented.
- Support a broad range of actuarial consulting services, such as model development, model validation, and product pricing.
- Participate in business development and ad-hoc projects, including actuarial and finance modernization.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with teams across PwC, including Financial Services Consulting, Advisory, Tax, and Data & Analytics.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Actively working towards a CIA or SOA designation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Moody’s AXIS, Risk Integrity, and data analytic tools like Alteryx or Tableau.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
